Description
Chasing Hammers have a large face for flattening and a ball-peen side for riveting and metal design (the “hammered” look). The forged head is wedge mounted on a wooden handle. This hammer is specifically designed for wire hardening and flattening. The slightly domed striking head provides just the right surface for hammering wire. It is recommended that a cloth be placed between the wire and the hammer when hammering to insure there is no chipping of the color. When using ParaWire you can hammer away with confidence, our color is that durable. We have seen our wire be hammered flat and still retain all of its original color!

Useful tool, reasonable price. My first one had a loose head, the second much tighter but uneven face. Still, very useful, works well with the parawire, I do recommend it to my students.

this is the perfect surface area for me and the weight is especially good for me. i have arthritis and i can still hammer where i intend to without going all over the map or hitting my thumb… much. the lighter weight is great for the more delicate pieces.
